Chris Plante loves to discuss the news media and the subtle ways they show bias.  Wednesday night two network news shows used long still images of President Trump instead of video as B-roll, and both of them were very specific photographs.

This first one is from CBS news, and look at the picture they choose of the President.

That’s a nice picture, isn’t it?  He’s in shadow, he looks devious, he looks up to something.

Now let’s hop over to ABC news, same time slot Wednesday night, again they used multiple still images of the President.

First was this one.  These images were from his rally the same night, they could easily have used video for these shots and not stills, where he looks petulant or, maybe dictatorial…

Just remember the media has several ways to influence your thoughts on their stories.  Always be vigilant
