The Prince George’s County Public Schools is the latest district to announce it’ll be closed on Wednesday for “A Day Without A Woman”.
Dr. Kevin Maxwell, the Chief Executive Officer says the decision was made after 1,700 teachers and 30 percent of the transportation staff requested leave. He says based on policies, the district and board of education have no political stance on the matter.
