Gov. Scott Walker joined Larry O’Connor live at CPAC to discuss government in Washington, D.C., the uproar over the appointment of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and more.
During the interview, Gov. Scott Walker urged the Trump administration to restore power back to the states:
O’Connor: Now let’s talk about this for a minute because we seem, in D.C. and across the country, to get so obsessed every 4 years about who sits in that desk up on Pennsylvania Avenue here. But what should people be focusing on in terms of how they really can affect their lives?
Gov. Walker: State and local government as our founders intended, more focus there. And I hope, one of my big hopes with the new President, particularly with Vice President Former Governor Mike Pence, is that they will go even further in sending more what the founders of this Constitution intended, more of those responsibilities, back to the states – much more affective, much more efficient. It’s really more accountable.
