WASHINGTON – (WMAL) A D.C. restaurant is apologizing for hosting a white nationalist group for dinner Friday night, saying they had no idea the National Policy Institute was planning on dining there before the group, and protesters, showed up.
In a Facebook post, Maggiano’s Little Italy in Friendship Heights says they are donating their Friday profits, totaling $10,000, to the Anti-Defamation League.
Protesters were forced out of the restaurant by police Friday night. They clashed again Saturday when NPI hosted their annual convention at the Ronald Reagan building in downtown DC. A fight broke out leading to some people getting taken to the hospital. No arrests were made.
