WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Loudoun County School Board member Joy Maloney was charged with trespassing Tuesday at a Donald Trump rally in Ashburn, Virginia after deputies say she cut in front of other people in line, and then refused to leave the property.

The Loudoun Sheriff’s Deputies were notified that around 8:45 a.m., at Briar Woods High School, where Trump was holding his rally, that an adult female was interfering with the line that was waiting to enter the event. Maloney reportedly stepped in front of several others in attendance waiting to go inside the school. When Maloney was asked to go to the back of line, she refused to do so and sat down on the ground.

Due to the fact that this was a private event contracted through Loudoun County Public Schools, the organizers revoked Maloney’s ticket to the rally. When she refused to leave despite having her ticket revoked, deputies had to get involved.

Maloney, 45, was charged with trespassing and taken into custody after she continued to remain seated and refused to leave.

Maloney was taken before a Loudoun Magistrate and released on a $1,000 unsecured bond.

There were no other arrests.

Loudoun County School Board declined to comment.
