Former Virginia National Guard Soldier Accused of Working with ISIS

WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Former National Guard soldier Mohamed Jalloh has been charged with plotting to help terrorist group ISIS in a Fort Hood-style attack against the U.S. military.

The 26-year-old from Sterling, Virginia is a former National Guard soldier. According to court records, Jalloh has said he quit the Guard after hearing lectures from radical Islamic cleric Anwar al-Awlaki.

FBI Investigators confirm that Jalloh purchased an assault rifle on Sunday.

He’s appearing in federal court in Alexandria this afternoon.
