ROCKVILLE, MD — (WMAL) Funeral services for Claudina Molina, a victim in the May 6th Montgomery County shootings, are being held at St. Jude Catholic Church in Rockville on Monday.
The death of the 65-year-old Silver Spring resident occurred when she was shot in the parking lot of the Giant Food supermarket in Aspen Hill by Eulalio Tordil.
Tordil’s attacks began May 5th, when he shot and killed his wife, Gladys, in the parking lot of High Point High School in Beltsville. Less than 24 hours later, he targeted the Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda, killing Malcom Winfell and injuring two others, before driving to Aspen Hill, where he shot Molina in an apparent attemted carjacking.
Claudina Molina leaves behind a son, daughter, and two grandchildren. Her daughter, Meli Altamirano, has set up a GoFundMe page to help the family with funeral expenses. Anyone wishing to donate can visit the GoFundMe through this link https://www.gofundme.com/23326dzw.
A memorial in the Aspen Hill Shopping Center has also been created for Molina in the wake of her death.
Visitation hours for Claudina Molina will be held at 5 pm at the St. Jude Catholic Church for anyone wishing to pay their respects.
