5am – A/B/C Hillary Clinton hints at job for Bill in White House. When it comes to what Bill Clinton’s job would be in the White House, Hillary Clinton offered a hint on Monday — and it doesn’t involve picking out the curtains. During a discussion in Kentucky about manufacturing and jobs, the Democratic front-runner talked up the need for a manufacturing renaissance and suggested that her husband would be a big asset in that department. “I’ve told my husband he’s got to come out of retirement and be in charge of this, because you know, he’s got more ideas a minute than anybody I know,” Clinton said, as people smiled and laughed. “Gotta put people back to work and make it happen. So we’re going to give it all we’ve got, absolute full-in 100 percent effort, because I worry we won’t recognize our country if we don’t do this.”

5am – D         Reactions to Larry Wilmore Dropping the N Word at WHCD

5am – E         Va. man gets out of paying spousal support after ex-wife enters into a lesbian relationship. (Washington Times) — The Supreme Court of Virginia last week reversed a lower-court decision after a man sued his ex-wife, alleging she broke provisions of their spousal support agreement by entering into a cohabiting lesbian relationship and becoming engaged to be married. After their divorce, Michael Luttrell in 2008 agreed to pay his ex-wife, Samantha Cucco, monthly spousal support payments for eight years, provided she did not remarry or cohabitate with anyone in a marriage-type relationship. Mr. Luttrell brought the lawsuit against his wife in 2014, alleging she had broken terms of the spousal support agreement after becoming “engaged to be married” and “cohabiting continually” with her fiancee, who is a woman, for at least a year. Ms. Cucco did not deny the accusation but said the provision did not apply to the state definition of “cohabiting” because she was living with a woman. The law defining cohabitation for the purpose of spousal support agreements in 1992 described the practice as people living “together in the same house as married persons live together, or in the manner of husband and wife.” But an amendment to the law in 1997 made the language gender-neutral.

6am – A/B     Moms are using kids’ playdates to social climb and make money. (NY Post) — Watching her toddler happily playing with toy blocks on the rug, Manhattan mom Christina was pleased to have been invited to the apartment of another mother she’d met at the park.“If I had a dime for the number of times [at play dates] I’ve been asked to join a Rodan + Fields skin-care trial or sell dōTerra essential oils, I’d be rich,” says Christina, a 28-year-old Upper West Sider, who, like everyone interviewed for this article, asked that her last name be withheld so as not to offend any mommy pals. “You’re cornered because your kid is there playing — you’re stuck in the middle of a sales pitch without the option to leave.” The phenomenon is explored in the new book “The Playdate: Parents, Children, and the New Expectations of Play” by Tamara R. Mose, an associate professor of sociology at Brooklyn College. “Play dates are often seen as opportunities where the parent can gain a social or career advantage,” says Mose, who interviewed 66 parents, teachers and caregivers across the five boroughs. “They’re not necessarily about the children’s relationships, but those of the parents’.”

It’s another alarm bell of how bad the situation is getting on the island. Governor Alejandro Garcia Padilla calls it a “humanitarian crisis,” which a step above an economic emergency. He claims he is prioritizing paying Puerto Rico’s police and teachers over Wall Street. “I had to make a choice. I decided that essential services for the 3.5 million American citizens in Puerto Rico came first,” the governor said in a speech Sunday. 8am – E         Woman files $5 million lawsuit against Starbucks for putting too much ice in her drinks. A miffed Starbucks customer is suing the coffee chain for $5 million, accusing them of watering down cold beverages with a disproportionate amount of ice. An Illinois woman is reportedly suing Starbucks for $5 million over the amount of ice it puts in customers’ drinks. Stacy Pincus accuses the coffee chain of packing almost half of their cold beverages with ice as a means to skimp on serving actual coffee to customers, according to the suit obtained by Courthouse News. When it comes to ordering a 24-ounce “Venti” coffee, for example, Pincus claims a customer only receives 14 ounces of actual coffee, and ice takes up the remaining 10. The miffed customer further notes that hot Starbucks beverages typically cost less than cold ones, even though they contain more coffee because of the lack of ice. Among the accusations hurled at the coffee conglomerate are fraud, negligent misrepresentation and unjust enrichment.
