(CNN) — Anna “Patty Duke” Pearce died early Tuesday from sepsis stemming from a ruptured intestine, according to a statement from her talent agency, Mitchell K. Stubbs & Associates. She was 69. “She was a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a friend, a mental health advocate and a cultural icon. She will be missed,” the statement said.
