MUST SEE VIDEO: Eight Firefighters Injured As Townhouse Collapses During Fire In Germantown

GERMANTOWN, MD – (WMAL) Eight firefighters were injured – one seriously – while battling a fire that destroyed a townhouse in Germantown early Monday morning. About 20 people from three famileis and multiple pets were displaced by the fire.

120 firefighters responded to the three alarm fire at approximately 1:00am.

When crews arrived at the home on Churubusco Lane, they found the town home completely engulfed in flames. The firefighters were injured when part of the structure collapsed around them. One firefighter has serious injuries, though none of the responders’ injuries are life-threatening.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
