BLACKSBURG, VA — Donald Trump is leading in pre-election polls in all but one of the 12 “Super Tuesday” states (He trails Ted Cruz in Cruz’ home state, Texas), and the chairman of his campaign in Virginia says he has every confidence the billionaire businessman will take the Commonwealth at the polls tomorrow.

“I think the margins will be a little bit smaller here in Virginia than they are in some of the other Super Tuesday states, though,” says Corey Stewart, who moonlights as Chairman of the Prince WIlliam Board of Supervisors. ” I think a lot of people are getting over their initial hesitations about him, and they’re embracing him.”

All five of the remaining GOP candidates have visited Virginia in the days leading up to Tuesday’s primary, and Trump will make a second pass through the state Monday, with a rally at Radford University.

On Sunday, Marco Rubio borrowed a page out of the Trump playbook and spent several minutes during a rally in Roanoke making fun of Trump’s hair and skin tone. “Donald is not going to make America great, he’s going to make America orange,” said Rubio, in an apparent reference to Trump’s affinity for spray tans.

Stewart says Rubio is now desperate.

“Marco Rubio has not won a single race yet. If he doesn’t win Virginia, I would say that his race is effectively over,” says Stewart.

Trump is not the only candidate appearing in Virginia Monday. Dr. Ben Carson is expected to speak at Regent University in Virginia Beach this afternoon, and Hillary Clinton will hold a rally at George Mason University at 4 pm.
