A jackknifed tractor trailer closed multiple lanes near Georgia Avenue on the Outer Loop of the Capitol Beltway this morning after careening into the jersey barrier. The accident caused chunks of concrete to spray across the highway, disabling 15-20 vehicles.
No serious injuries were reported, and clean-up crews were able to reopen all lanes by 6:45am after clearing the concrete.
The truck driver was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
