WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Bei Bei the panda cub is starting to eat solid food.
A new video released by the National Zoo today shows zookeepers feeding the baby boy sweet potatoes and bamboo.
Despite this new development, Bei Bei will still nurse from his mother, Mei Xiang, for at least another year.
Here he is, experiencing sweet potatoes for the first time:
