WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Metro will operate trains and busses with limited service Monday.

Only underground metro trains will run tomorrow on the Red, Orange and Green Lines. They’ll be a train every 20 minutes or so. Red line trains will run from Medical Center to Union Station only. Orange line trains will go from Ballston to Eastern Market. Green line trains will go from Fort Totten to Anacostia. Metro may expand service depending on how long it takes to clear above ground tracks.

Metro bus will run 22 routes from noon to 5 Monday snow emergency routes only, avoiding hills and narrow side streets. The following busses will run in the District of Columbia: 32, 33, 36, 53, 70, 90, A6, A8, P12, S4, U8, X2. In Maryland these busses will run: C4, D12, K6, Q2, V4, Y2, Z8.  Virginia has only three bus lines running: 16A, 16E, 28A.

They’ll leave their departure points at the top and bottom of each hour. That service may also be expanded depending on how crews are doing clearing sidestreets.

The good news is, if you’re taking busses or trains, they’ll be totally free tomorrow.

MetroAccess will remain suspended Monday.

If you’re parked in a Metro lot, you can stay there for free through 9:30 Tuesday morning. Overnight parking restrictions will not be enforced Sunday or Monday.
