WASHINGTON — (WMAL) After five months of waiting, Bei Bei’s big day has finally arrived!

The newest edition to the National Zoo’s panda family is making his public debut tomorrow.

“He actually spends more time in the public exhibit than Bao Bao did when she was the same age,” National Zoo spokesperson Devin Murphy told WMAL. “People probably have a pretty good chance of seeing him as they come to visit.”

Panda-watchers can visit him at the National Zoo every day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and can see him in person or in the Panda Cam control room.

The Panda House has been closed since a few days before Bei Bei was born.

Of course, the other pandas will also be out and about – Bao Bao spends more time outside than her parents or brother do.

Panda mom Mei Xiang will be supervising Bei Bei while his father Tian Tian can be seen all over in the enclosure.

On Saturday morning, breakfast will be available at the Panda Plaza Cafe.

There will also be “selfie stations” set up around the enclosure where visitors can take pictures with the pandas.
