WASHINGTON — (WMAL) If you’re throwing a party for Sunday’s Redskins game, order your food early.

Pizza stores and other food delivery services see a sharp increase in demand whenever a playoff game is on.

Jim Robertson, Franchise Owner of Ledo’s Pizza on River Road, said that his store sees a 10% to 20% increase in sales during big games.

“It’s always more crowded, so I would say the best thing is to go to our website, see what specials are there, and also order a little earlier,” Robertson said.

He also recommended ordering pizza hours in advance to guarantee that it would be ready on time.

“You know, you have a jump from a normal playoff game and a normal playoff weekend, but the Redskins are in it,” he said. “Those local teams really make a big difference.”
