Catholic University All Clear After Two Security Incidents

WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Catholic University is all clear this morning after a series of security incidents Monday night.

Around 11 p.m. last night, a custodian at the university reported encountering a “middle-eastern” man with a gun who asked for the location of the administration building.

After the suspect left, both he building where the custodian worked and the administration building were evacuated.

There were also reports of a suspicious package appearing on campus that night, and it is unknown if the two incidents are related.

D.C. and campus police investigated the area and students were told to shelter in place until 2:40 this morning.
