COLORADO SPRINGS — (WMAL) The mayor of Colorado Springs, Colorado, as well the police chief have confirmed that the active shooter situation at the Colorado Springs Planned Parenthood is over.

The shooter is alive and in custody.

The incident began earlier in the day when an armed person entered the Planned Parenthood at a strip mall and opened fire on police officers.

Eleven people were transported to local hospitals and five of the injured are police officers.

The shooter’s motive is still under investigation at this time.
