WASHINGTON — (WMAL) The Washington Nationals have reportedly just made a big decision, naming a Major League Baseball (MLB) veteran as their new manager.

Who is the new ‘skipper’? A number of baseball sources say the Nationals have chosen onetime, National League Manager of the Year Bud Black as their new manager.

If these reports are true, Black will be the sixth skipper in the team’s history.

Black is the former team manager of the San Diego Padres, but was fired by the team back in June.

No official announcements are expected until after the World Series is over.
