WASHINGTON — (WMAL) Bei Bei the panda cub is growing teeth, according to biologists at the National Zoo.

Although he’s still being nursed by his mother, Mei Xiang, Bei Bei will one day use those teeth to eat bamboo.

Adult panda diets consist solely of bamboo, though Bei Bei won’t eat plants until he’s at least six months old.

Once he starts eating solid food, Bei Bei will likely grow to be over 200 pounds, more than 20 times his current weight.
