Identities Of Some Oregon Shooting Victims Become Public

WASHINGTON — (CNN) Lucas Eibel and Rebecka Carnes both died after being shot Thursday at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon, according to family members.

Nine people were killed after a gunman opened fire at the school, which is about 180 miles south of Portland.

Eibel’s death was confirmed by his brother Mitchell. Eibel,18, was a quadruplet; he had two brothers and a sister.

Rebecka Carnes’ death was confirmed by her stepfather, Aaron Chandler. He said his family isn’t ready to speak to the media yet.

According to the Roseburg News-Review, the Eibel quadruplets graduated from Roseburg High School this year.

Lucas Eibel was selected as one of 87 students that qualified to become UCC Scholars, according to a release from the college.
