WASHINGTON – (WMAL) Want to catch a glimpse of the pope during his papal visit to D.C. this week? Here’s how you do it.

The best chance for most Francis hopefuls to lay eyes on the pope will be on Wednesday, Sept. 23 after his meeting with President Obama.

The ‘Popemobile’ will be on a parade route between Ellipse and a portion of the National Mall starting at 11 a.m. No tickets are required.

But don’t get too excited: People are expected to arrive at the security gates as early as 4 a.m. Gates close at 10 a.m.
