The officer ordered lunch at the establishment, but the server assigned to take her order refused to accept her credit card for the purchase when he discovered she was a uniformed cop.

The fast food restaurant’s manager then told her that the server “doesn’t want to serve you because you are a police officer.”

The manager accepted the purchase and handed the officer her meal, but she didn’t trust the employees and recieved a refund.

Penbroke Pines Police Chief Dan Giustino called the incident “disappointing.”

“I am offended and appalled that an individual within our community would treat a police officer in such a manner,” he said, “It is unacceptable, and I will be contacting the Arby’s CEO to demand an apology.”

Since news of the incident broke, Arby’s Twitter account has been inundated with calls for the employee to be fired.

Although Arby’s apologized for the incident, company representatives have not mentioned if they would fire the employee.
