One Man Killed, Another Injured, in Capitol Heights Shooting

WASHINGTON — (WMAL) One security guard is dead and another is injured after a shooting in a Capitol Heights apartment complex Friday morning.

The guards were sitting in their private cars on the property around 1 a.m. when a suspect opened fire on them.

Adrian Kinard, 26, of Northeast D.C. died of his injuries at the hospital, while the second guard sustained non life-threatening injuries.

Prince George’s County police are offering a $25,000 reward for information on the incident.

The police believe the shooting was not a random act, though the motive is still unclear.
