WASHINGTON (WMAL) — Maryland Governor Larry Hogan checked into University of Maryland Hospital Center in Baltimore over the weekend for his first of four consecutive rounds of chemotherapy.
In a Facebook post Sunday, Hogan wrote, “I am feeling healthy and strong. We are killing cancer cells left and right and I have no side effects.”
He thanked supporters for braving torrential downpours and tornado warnings to come to his Change Maryland-Hogan Strong picnic Saturday adding he’s humbled by well wishes and prayers from people all around the world.
“With my faith, my family and my army of incredible friends and supporters, I have every confidence that we will win this battle. I am forever grateful and will never, ever forget this love and support!”
Last week Hogan publicly announced that he was diagnosed with stage three non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He vowed to continue his duties as governor throughout his treatments.
