Husband, Father of Plane Crash Victims Grieves

GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) – A man whose wife and sons were killed when a plane crashed into their suburban Washington home says his grief is more than words can express.

Ken Gemmell released a statement Tuesday on behalf of himself and his surviving child, Arabelle.

A private jet slammed into their Gaithersburg home Monday. Marie Gemmell and the couple's two young sons were killed, as were the three people on the plane.

Ken Gemmell said, "No words can describe the enormity of our loss and sadness." He said Marie Gemmell, his college sweetheart, was the love of his life. The boys, 3-year-old Cole and 6-week-old Devin, were "young, innocent and joyful."

Gemmell thanked responders and people praying for his family.

He asked for privacy from the media as he and Arabelle rebuild their lives.
