Danger Zone
Sunday 9pm - 10pm
THE FACTS: “Accurate, Interesting, and compelling.”
- Louis Freeh, former FBI Director
Danger Zone offers listeners an unparalleled view into the inner-workings of our national security system, featuring discussions with leading figures from security, intelligence and academic communities, with a heavy stress on the “human” side of the battle against terror.
Hosted by Ambassador Richard W. Carlson, former Director-General of the Voice of America, and current Vice-Chairman of the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, Danger Zone provides answers to the questions no one else in the media is asking.
Answers to the questions no one else in the media is asking…
There is no other radio show – or other media – devoted exclusively to terrorism. Danger Zone focuses on recent developments on the terrorism front – accurate, interesting, and compelling presentations – and features many guests who are directly involved in fighting this war. Particularly appealing are those folks who often eschew media attention, but who wield great influence in America’s intelligence community.
A broad appeal, well targeted…
Danger Zone has created a buzz in the intelligence community. Many agents and officials listen to the show in Washington, and others listen in the field, including abroad, via the internet. The Bureau has offered Danger Zone access to agents working on specific cases where discussion in the media would be helpful to their pursuits of threats against the West. This is a considerable departure from FBI media policy. One current FBI executive gave us permission to use the quote below for promotions, without his name.
“Danger Zone provides an American audience with access to news about terrorism and counter intelligence that they will get nowhere else. This unique and important program gives people an understanding of those issues.
“Danger Zone has established genuine credibility with law enforcement and intelligence agencies, and as a result, features guests who seldom, if ever, appear in the media.”
